I am assuming that you have a tank set up for tropical fish, with heater etc. Molly's come in a variety of colors and sizes. Platy's come in bright colors of orange, yellow and red, also a mixture of the two called sunset. Swordfish come in many colors also and a added bonus is the sword tail; come in bl/wh, green, blueish, red, red/bl, yellow. These are all live bearers and are easy to breed in a community tank. The platy's and swords will inter breed with each other. Molly's are black, bl/wh and greenish. Make sure that you have at least 2 females for each male or the poor female will be chased all the time. Heavily plant your tank and have several places that young fish can hide, including some floating. You may want to separate the female when her time is near. Ya can buy a clear plastic breeder especially for this with a small opening at the bottom that the fry fall through after they are born. Guppies are also easy and colorful. You should probably get a good fish book so ya can look up stuff. You know that the females and males won't be above eating their own young. Some mothers turn around and eat the fry as they come out of her. Experiment and enjoy. Start with something cheap till ya get the hang of it. Luck.

Female platies are generally "pre-hit" before you buy them. If a mature male and female spend 15 minutes together, it is 100% certain she is pregnant. She will give birth to several batches over a 6 month period or longer without any help from a male.
You will have more fish than you know what to do with, if you use breeding equipment and set your tank up right with plants.

try guppies. at an exotic fish store they usually have male and female guppies with very bright colors. guppies breed incredibly fast so you will always have a tank full of colorful fish. but it is very important that you get COLORFUL guppies because plain guppies will always reproduce plain fish and the tank becomes a bore.
if you dont want guppies, any live bearing colorful fish will reproduce fast given the correct environment. make sure t ohave a lot of plants and rocks for the baby fish to hide in.
oh i just thought of this, try sunburt platys and mickey mouse platys. they are very bright orange and red. you need two females for every male and they reproduce fast if you have a good environment.
