I have seen conflicting information, but I hope the project stayes shelved. Logans run is one of those movies that was bad enough to become a cult classic but good enough that a remake would be a let down. The keep remaking movies thad didn't need a remake. Planet of the apes, didn't need a remake. The Island ( a remake of a really bad movies from the 70's called Parts, the Clonus horror) didn't need to be remade and Logans Run doens't need to be remade. How about some NEW ideas, instead of rehashing stuff that has already been done. No more remakes, no more movies based on old tv shows (what's next an updated Facts of Life movie...shudder). WE WANT SOMETHING NEW!!!!!

yes and no. It's been shelved, which means that it's been put on hold. imdb.com has a bit of information but go here http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dimension/5357/running2.htm
this is William F. Nolan's website that was updated on Feb 21st 2007, it seems to be the most recent information on the film. Honestly, I hope it stays canned...although, when I first saw the trailers for "the Island" I thought oh dear god they remade "Logan's Run" and thus the eye rolling ensued before I realized it was just a cheap rip off of Logan's Run, which isn't any better.

They are going to ruin another good movie by trying to remake it.
Too many classic movies have been remade that should never have been.
Planet of the Apes
Lost In Space (tv show)
Posiden
Miami Vice (tv show)
and alot more.
They are going to ruin this movie.
