I got my tubes tied 6 years ago. The only side effect I had, was messed up periods for a little while. I have 3 kids and that was enough for me!

Over 21,if you have a spouse he has to consent also...most doctors require at least one child....side effects depend on the type of procedure, via lasar or inpatient surgery, with both there is still a chance of future etopic pregnacy in the future, which can lead to death...I had an etopic years ago...due to tubal...and I was a code blue!!! (revieved)...and later had a hysterectomy..I am an RN....if you havent had any children and are young I would not reccommend, and most Physicians will not either, unless there is some underlined med condition...Its a good thing for women who have had there family and are having birth control issues...

confident, you are able to. it fairly is called a laparoscopy. I had one (no longer a tubal nevertheless - to eliminate an ovarian cyst), and that i've got exceedingly much no scars. it fairly is an fairly low-hazard surgical technique, yet all surgical technique contains hazard. In my case, I have been given unlucky and developed pelvic adhesions, ensuing in painful menstruation that i did no longer used to have. maximum women folk people do no longer adventure any side effects, yet of direction, talk on your well being practitioner. there is likewise yet another new technique around, called Essure. fairly, it rather is a tubal without surgical technique. the approach is reminiscent of putting an IUD. They insert a skinny tube by your cervix, which has 2 small coils in it. The coils are placed on your fallopian tubes, which motives the tissue to scar around it, and closes off the tube. it fairly is basically as efficient as surgical tubals, yet with a good distance fewer disadvantages. it fairly is properly worth looking into, in the experience that your u . s . has absolutely everyone who performs it yet.

pain and not being able to have kids are basically the side effects.
if you dont have kids you probably can still get it done but its not a good idea because you might change your mind. although there is a surgery to get them untied. expensive.
