this product works wonders. but an old trick is to put the sweater in the freezer for about an hour.

I put my cashmere and angora sweaters in the freezer in a plastic bag or container.no they dont freeze but it will stop the static!

Try an anti-static dryer sheet - rubbing that over the sweater may help dissipate static.

Oooh! Hairspray for a quick fix usually works. Or Static-Guard if you have it on hand.

rub a fabric softener sheet on your sweater
then put it back on

this happens to me all the time too... antistatic dryer sheets are good and hairspray [what i usually use] works wonders....

send it to the dry cleaners. they must do something to it because hen mine come back they are never staticy
