well if he is your best friend, i know the shock is tremendous but I would think you would be more sensitive to his condition. Let him find his way. Encourage his growth and be happy with him as a friend that he is finding his own way. After all even though he is leaving the world as he once known it, it is a step for his happiness. As his best friend you should be more encourages to support his right to be a man and go his way. He will always be your friend too. Look at it this way, you have not lost a mans best friend but you have gain a woman bestest friend. Learn to love them for who they are. Be a man. Be happy for him.

Straight means u like the opposite sex.
Bi means u like both sexs.
lezbian or gay means u like the same sex,

I don't see what your problem is so he's realized that he's straight, big deal. I am straight and I have more than one gay friend, plus a person's sexual orientation is just a very small part of who they are.
