He is wonderful, we are real tight of friends, and I trust him. When ever I tell him a sercret, he keeps it to himself. But one day in school, I told him who I liked, which was his best friend. He didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. So the very next day, I went to his house to tell ask him why he was actting like that. He told me these exact words,"Why my best friend, I am the one who was always there for you." Then, I played catch with a football with him, then went home. I was thinking about that the whole time. Why would he say that. I know he doesnt like me, because he told me he had a crush on one of my friends. What do I do now. This is a problem, the whole school thinks we are the prefect couple! Please help me! Please!

OK, you need to come out and clarify things with him. Tell him you are confused because on the one hand he says "Why my best friend, I am the one who was always there for you" yet on the other hand he told you he has a crush on one of your friends. If you might like him, give him the idea.. but don't say you love him.. say something like, "I care about you and you are important to me, and I want to know how you feel about me." If he is a man, he'll tell you.... It's hard because I've been in that kind of situation with guys. They are never straight about their feelings.. but get upset if you like someone else... What choice do you have but to ask him?

Firstly the whole thinking that u r the perfect couple doesn't mean anything if u two don't feel that way. I would say that the guy does have feelings for u regardless of whether he likes someone else. U spend time together and confide in each other so it's not unusual that he would start to care about u in that way. It's obvious why he would say what he said. He probably felt let down and unappreciated. I mean think about it. He has been there for u and done things with u (and vice versa) and in the end u like a friend of his who hasn't done any of those things for u. That had to be painful. U can't take back that u said that and u can't take it out of his mind. The best thing that u could do is to keep hanging with him and doing what u had been doing. Don't continue to ask him about the situation but if he brings it up then be willing to comfort him. If your friendship is strong enough then he will let it go. However, if he has had feelings for u for a while and has been using the friendship to get closer to u he may not be able to recover from that quickly and u may just need to give him space. If all that u want is friendship then the 2 of u may have a problem from now on.

He likes u, Not your friend. He may have said he liked ur friend just to take the heat off of him. But, Its u he likes and cares for.
If u like him too, then the two of you need to try to make something of it.
Sounds like u have the perfect foundation for a real relationship, one that outlasts most.

a little jealously i'm assuming, maybe he's already on your friend ladder, if he is, you better let him know, sounds like he likes you secretly and the pressure of the people around you doesn't make it easier for him

Well...he never said he does not like you. So he could still like you. Just because he said he liked someone else does not mean anything(even if it's true).
I'd say he likes you....but he thinks you don't like him and would reject him.
And even if he does not like you(a long shot) he may not like you liking his Friend, for whatever reason.
