That's what I remember about my dreams - the pure, strong emotion. The highs are very high, and the lows are very low.

Bliss, contentment, love, sadness, regret, loss.

I'm sort of grateful I don't feel these things so much in my waking life. It would upset the routine.

Or is this a sign that something's wrong?

Actually the subconscious mind is a wonderful tool to telling us we have unresolved issues and many of our self expression like you have hit on in your comments.

There is a site called Dream Dictionary. Check out your dreams. Pinpoint the conundrums and start addressing them with your inner and outer feelings and the people they perhaps involve. My nightmares are finally gone when I came to terms and did things about them.

It is a sign of something wrong. But, that is only my theory. Being as I am an emotional person I have realized that there is alot of prejudice towards people whom are emotional. So, when you have dreams you feel that it is acceptable to have strong emotions without fear of judgment.

Thats a good question because I wake up sometimes from a dream I had and am overwhelmed with emotion. I think its because its not reality and somethings that we dream could and would never happen in reality, so we when we expereince them in our dreams, we are overwhelmed. I hope this made sense.

i don't think it means something's wrong - people tend to remember strong emotions more, and pay a disproprtionate amount of attention to these memories - why wouldn't you think about the time your felt most sad more often than you think about the annoyed feeling of spilling your coffee, even though the latter is most likely far more common an experience? it's the way we categorize memories: when asked to describe a person missing a train, subjects draw far more dramatic conclusions than happen on average to train-missers. :) dramatic experiences are more prominent in our memories than normal ones, despite being less common, in the same way you're probably able to think of more 4-letter words beginning with "k" than ending with it, despite the latter being more common. i don't know about stronger emotions, but my dreams are almost always more exciting (aka: people trying to kill me, monsters, whatever) than real life is. i don't have factual backing for this particular detail, but it makes sense to me that stronger emotions appear in dreams more often than in real life for the same reason.

dreams are based on fantasy and life is based on reality. dreams are what we are thinking/feeling subconsciously. i was interested in a friend's brother for a while and than "got over him" when i became interested in a friend from school. i had a dream about my friend's brother while interested in my friend from school. i saw my friend's brother the other day (or was it last week? anyways....) i realized that i was still interested in the first guy.
