Recently, when I moved I accidentally took a small chunk of wood out of the top of my desk. Is there a way I can patch this? I am completely clueless when it comes to things like this. . . so any simple suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you in advance to everyone who answered :o)

Yes. they make many kinds of wood filler. I use Miracle Wood. You can get it at any paint store. Any wood filler will do. Get it as close as you can and sand it flush. Then use the pen (if it's small) with your color stain to color it. If it's a bigger area you might need a can of stain. Takes about an hour.

try putting some gorilla glue on the piece, then put it on. The only way for the gorilla glue to work is to use it as directed. You can fine them at your local hardware store.
