I have lent a dvd to an ex work collegue whom I never see now and I would like to have it back. It is so annoying especially since she is so nice. I just hate having to txt her all the time.

I would write, phone, or text and get on there good side by asking how they are as you have not seen then for a long time and get chatting for a while and say do you remember that DVD that i lent you do you think i could have it back please as i would like to watch it, then do not be rude keep chatting for a while but once you get it back do not lend it out again trust me i have been ripped off for being trusting.Good luck, Andrew

Just tell her you really need that dvd.....Please return it......Send it, I'll pay the postage.....Bring it over.....I will come get it......If you don't have it or you broke it, just tell me. Besides, what do you care, since you no longer work together and don't see each other. So just tell her right up front, you want it back.....Tell her, you know she's not the kind to keep it, since she only borrowed it in the first place. And if its gone, at least you'd like to know that, so you can stop asking for it....Jeez!!!!

You could always make a joke of it by telling her that you are really reluctant to call the DVD police and if she hands it over now, the matter will go no further

Hi Sandra G
Your friend is taking you for granted Don't be afraid go to her and request the return of your discs
After all she borrowed them from you the least she could have done ,was to return them to you they could have sentimental value to you.
when you see her just say
" just called to see if you were alright I herd that lending items to people induces memory loss and I would not like that to happen to you mention her name"
That should embarrass her to return your discs She will now know not to borrow things from you

I would cut your losses and go out and buy a new dvd. i've had this problem too and its a pain but its best to replace the dvd yourself and in the future be careful who you lend them too. hope it was not an expensive box set or anything.

Go to her house. Then tell her that it's a shame u have to come all the way over here but could I please have my dvd back.I bet she'll feel bad and give it back.If she gets mad then it wouldn't of matter what u did. She is thoughtless and someone u really don't want to be friends with.Good luck

Yep, in the same position, I was lucky the other time i was moving so i had an excuse, now i dont, and why do they do it?
i wouldn't dream of holding onto other peps possessions!
I know now never to do it again, my next excuse will be 'oh theres nothing in that case, and oh theres nothing in that one either, and do you know what theres nothing in that one too!'
