If you have some embroidery floss or some pretty string you could make a friendship bracelet.http://parentingteens.about.com/od/activitiesorteens/ss/friendship1.htm

What kind of crafty supplies do you have. Maybe I could give more ideas if I knew what you have on hand.

If you have a decent printer you could try Papercraft there are lots of projects on line for free. You basically require a good Xacto knife with a sharp blade, a cutting surface to not mark the table, yellow wood glue, fine artist brush to apply glue, a bowl for water to keep brush moist and something to score fold lines. You can use a pen that has dried up or a knitting needle, something with a dull point to mark the paper but not cut it.
Print out the project on 65 or 110lb paper card (8.5x11), this can be found at an office supply like Staples.
I will leave you with a couple of links. One for construction help and one for some projects

Take her to Michaels and get a book on crocheting (it's easier than knitting), some crochet hooks, and yarn- she can learn to crochet blankets and scarves and hats. My wife says it's pretty easy to pick up and she has fun doing it. It's fairly inexpensive and the hats, etc. make great gifts. Just as a caution, if she's a lefty, some how-to books will tell her to just "learn right handed"--that's not necessarily true. She could also pick up counted cross stich or scrapbooking, but the latter gets pretty pricey...

Try hemp bracelets or friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss. They are really easy to make and really fun too. For a normal friendship bracelet all you really need is a package of embroidery floss in fun colors and either a book on how to make friendship bracelets or look online for patterns and how to make knots. (I googled friendship bracelet patterns and got alot of really cool ideas)

For hemp bracelets/necklaces you need hemp (which you can get at walmart and craft stores, and if you want to add to that buy some beads. I bought a beginners craft kit at walmart to learn how to make one first and it shows you step by step and is really easy.

Any other ideas would be crocheting (which I do and is fun when you're bored) and maybe buying a sketch book and watercolors.

Hope some of this helped.

If you have material, a cardboard box that would go to the recyclers, Elmer's glue and a scissor, plus a sheet of cardstock and a few sheets of copy paper plus a sewing machine you can make a journal. Here are the directions. http://library.thinkquest.org/J001156/makingbooks/sc_clothcovered.htn

Hows about going to Hobby Lobby, Michael's,eetc. and start making jewlery from beads-it has swept the country and when your wear the things you have made, people will want to know where you got it and you will be in business!

go on the internet and type in beading supplies and then go to their websigt and see the fabulous stuff and catalogs you can get from them.

You have paper right? Origami. Here's how to make a cootie catcher, or trifold. I do it with my friends all the time, and you can put things in them like " You will live in a cardboard box" Or " you will marry john."
