It was suggested to me to use a product called Restore-A-Deck on my cedar deck. Has anyone ever used it.

I found it here www.mydeckcleaner.com

I agree with the previous answer about reading the label cause some of those deck cleaners/restore are real harsh on wood. Being a cedar deck all I would think is you got dirt & mildew. For this get a Zinseer product called "Jomax" and again just read the label and it will tell you what to do and if you do power wash it be careful not to go too close with your nozzel or you will splinter it up. good luck

I use a mixture of water and Oxy-clean with a scrub brush and it does a good job for me. I also use a pressure washer with very low pressure, so as not to damage the wood. I then use an oil based sealer with a red wood tint. The oil base lasts longer than the latex.

Most deck cleaning / restore products are for pressure treated lumber. Be certain to read the lable to see if it is safe for ceder.
