If you get them them professionally done they will cut your natural nails. But if you glue them on yourself at home you don't have to cut them.

yea ! but why would you want fake ones if yours are already long ? Just get a manicure unless your nails aren't nice then you might as well cut them before putting in fake ones.

The glue-on types? They might be uncomfortable since the shape really has to match to fit well (one time -- never again!).

The salon kind? Sure. They'll trim your nails Just Right.

You can get fake nails anytime. They'll just start where you stop, so to speak. If you want longer, you can get it.

Hell, you can get them on your toes. I swear Ive seen them do it in the seat next to me!
