i have a motor master eliminator battery that i bought for my 84 camaro v6. id need to know can it go in an 91 mercury sable v6.

The answer is no, at the very least not recommended, and for a very simple reason. The Camaro uses side terminal style cables, the Sable uses top post style. Now I realize there are adapters available, and they are of poor quality. It sounds like you want to do this on the cheap, but being stranded with a no-start Sable and needing a jump, tow or taxi is going to cost you more. Plus, with the correct battery, there are no fitment issues, and no worries about 4 extra high-current connections working themselves loose.

As long as the positive cable meets the positive post, and the negative cable meets the negative post.
Be sure to secure it so that it doesn't move around and cause problems.
It would help to check the CCC (cold cranking amps) to make sure they are adequate. But, yes, it will work in a pinch.

Probably not. Ford and Chevy put the positive and negative connections on opposite sides of the battery, and the cables probably won't reach. All you can do is put it in and see.

If the terminals are in the same place, yes. If the positive and negative is on a different side it's a costly switch.
