Before i started cleaning my bathrrom yesterday i didnt know weather to keep my hamsters cage in my room or not. I wasnt sure if the smell of bleach would affect him? I left him in my room but...next time should i take his cage somewhere while cleaning my bathroom? or just leave my door open and fan on? Will this affect his health!?!?!

Chlorine gas (as in "Chlorine Bleach") is actually a chemical weapon used in war... If the chlorine in the bleach mixes with any of a number of other common chemicals, toxic gas is released which is fatal within minutes to a small animal.

The fumes of the bleach alone can burn nasal passages and lung linings.

Never keep a pet in an area you are cleaning. What is just irritating to you is fatal to them.

If the hamster cage is close to the bathroom..then you should move it away while you are cleaning to keep the fumes from affecting the hamster. You could either move the cage out of the room...or move it to the other side of the room. Just make sure you have good ventilation while you are using the bleach for both the hamster and you.

Its probably best to move your hamster, have a look on the back of your bleach bottle..if it says to use in well ventilated areas then it is pretty strong and i wouldnt reccomend that you use it near him.
