How do I get rid of her??? (Don't tell me to push her under a bus - I tried (kidding(ish)))?

Long story:
So, I go to boarding school and I share a room with her (let's call her... Ethel). I HATE HER. She used one of my best friends as a human punchbag for about a year. We have argued a LOT, and we have really conflicting personalities- I like to cry in corners, she likes to scream and attention-seek. I have a serious drinking problem, she pretends to have one so I like her. She is determined for me to like her. I HATE HER. I have issues, lets say. I self harm, and she knows it as its difficult to hide because I share a room with her, and she's never cared before. She smokes, and I leave her alone about that. But recently, she has started stealing anything pointy that belongs to me, and the other day I asked her if I could borrow a sharpener (to sharpen my pencil) and she was like "No, because you'll only cut your wrists with it!" and laughed and said that she was going to tell everyone so that they wouldn't lend me a sharpener. I stopped her, but she is a hypocrite because

if I mention smoking she blows up at me and says it is her own business. But isnt cutting mine? And smoking has way more long-term physical effects. Answers would be nice, please don't give me nasty comments or tell me I should be her friend, we just don't get on.

It seems to me you both have psychological problems that need treated immediately, why do you self harm? so she bullied your best friend for a year didnt anyone speak up about this or stand up to her......
Why dont you ask to have your room changed to share with someone else,explain you both dont get on and there is issues Im sure the school will accomodate you if you'r honest with them..

How can you cut yourself with a sharpner? Is she stupid? Unless its a knife she was using to sharpen her pencils,as for her smoking thats up to her as is your self harming, she isnt very compassionate if she was she would be getting you help, not wanting to blab your personal business to everyone, she certainly isnt your friend.......

You should seek help and counseling for yourself, you do need it self harming is not good my friend did it she said it made her feel better issues from her childhood caused this she is fine now after treatment counseling and other stuff.....

Hope you get help and sorted out this is a terrible situation to be in but not speaking up about it is not helping speak to your year tutor, or someone you trust...............

Honey, you both have problems.Pointing out someone elses never justifies your own.Just realize she is the way she is and if she is ever going to change it'll be because she has seen the need to change and is willing to.You on the other hand, GOD loves you very much .This is what gave me the self esteem I lost as a small child.JESUS knows EVERYTHING about us, every bad thought, deed,intention and loves us in spite of all our wrong doings and faults.HE loves us when no one else has or will.HE doesnt want to throw us in the trash, but get us out of the trash dump, clean us up and make something beautifull and HE can do it , IF ..... we are willing to turn to him with all our heart and do things HIS way. If you can get a Bible read romans 3:23,john 3:1-5 and acts 2:38, find a united pentecostal church and visit it just once.You will find what you are looking for.

Hey girl, are you sure you want rid of her? Sounds like she might be the best friend you got right now. But you got to sort out this self harm s**t first - not your mates.

You sure that slicing yourself up isn't a cry for help or seeking attention? It happened at my boarding school all over the place and it could often get ugly.

Go see a matron at your school (or your mum if you think she'll be sympathetic).

i think you should talk to her about and yall both need help with those problems im pretty sure you know it isnt healthy but im not going to tell you something you already know. i think you should tell her how you feel and maybe she will get the point but becarfeul because if she told you the whole sharpener thing when you tell her you " hate her" she might go tell alot of ppl about your drinking and cutting problems so becareful of how you approach her and goodluck

you need help for your drinking and self harm, try speaking to your parents or a teacher, thats more important than your so called friend, when you feel more in control over your life, youll be able to deal with her in a practical way

Ask for a room swoop.Be selfish.If she tells on you self harming(do
try to stop)Solution.She's the problem.Use her before she uses you

SHE IS CRAZY .u need to stay away from drinking and from that smoke smell from a cigaret. it may get into your lungs and practically kill you. and i suggest you stay away from the girl. also that drinking problem needs to stop. someday you may get into trouble with the police and go to jail
