That body and chassis pretty much stayed the same from 1968-1972, and only minor changes in 1973. It's a real good possibility that the tanks are interchangeable. Check some replacement parts dealers like Year One. If the tank will fit multiple years, it's probably the same tank and a swap should be possible.

A '69 and a '70 are almost identical, so it's very likely a fit. The cap is behind the license plate on both, right?

i own a repair shop,and you can modify the car to make it work,but it wont just bolt right on it,they changed the style of the tank in 1966 to a different style,but a newer one can be made to work good on it,,i have did this job before ,and there's not that much work to make it go on and work right,but you can still buy new tanks for the older nova,s also,good luck i hope this help,s.

yes it should..........maybe different brackets but you can make it fit.....it might even have the same brackets..
