I have a very old 5 gallon can of oil based Kilz primer that was not sealed properly and is now kind of chunky and I think worthless. It doesn't even have a handle anymore or a good fitting lid so transporting it will not be easy. The can is nearly full, how can i get rid of this?

Hey Don,

I believe your county would have a "home chemical waste site".

Yahoo local, or phone book, county services.

saran wrap over the top, allowing some over hang, duct tape around the side lip. Then place a cover over your car carpet and have a friend sit with the bucket between their legs.

Thank you for caring for the environment.

5 gal., thats a lot of kilz. Try pouring it into a 5 gal plastic pail and put a lid on it. Then take it to your local landfill of transfer station. They are generally required (by the DEC) to accept those type of materials for special disposal. They may charge you a fee but it is generally cheap.
