Is it possible that a kid does not know very well the difference between a male and a female? I mean.. if he sees a picture of a woman he calls her a man and if he sees a man he calls her a woman? Or that he calls a woman "papa". A 2 years old kid would not know the difference? Is the kid only experimenting his words?

my granddaughter did the same thing when she was 11/2 and it's not that they don't know the difference it's that they haven't been taught the difference between the words. she used to say she told me to be good and she was talking about pop pop. we told her pop pop was a man and not a girl. you have to teach your children, not expect them to automatically know.

The kid is two. At that age even if they think they know something they need confirmation that it is the way it is.
