It can. From what I understand, the few minutes it takes to perform an abortion is more trauma and stress to a woman's body than the entire pregnancy and delivery.

not in all cases, only very rare ones. a lot of the time its when the abortion has been carried out wrongly, but if a women has had all the regular check ups and correct treatment there should be no reason why she couldn't have children in the future. i believe the later the abortion takes place the greater the risks. xxx

yes it absolutely can! everytime you have an abortion there is scar tissue and that scar tissue can make it harder for an egg to implant in the uterus! if you read the papers they have you sign they say something along the lines of basically if they mess up they are not responsible!
oh and by the way ladies, don't lie to your doctor and say that you havent ever had an abortion if you have because most of the time they can tell you are lying because of that scar tissue!

It is possible that anytime you have something done it can lead to scarring which can lead to infertiliy. Please don't take the chance. You don't know how it feels to love babies so much and not be able to have the choice of having one. It would be very hard but going through carrying it and give it up for adoption would be giving a gift to that couple and especially to your baby. You could go through knowing you made someone so happy with the gift they cannot do for themselves. A lot of people out there would love that baby forever and give you the chance to stay in contact if you wanted including me. I know what a precious gift it can be. God Bless you and good luck.

I would think it would depend on the method and the knowledge of the doctor performing it. Some methods can lead to infertility, but it is not often and if it does happen often, many women are closed mouthed about it. It's always good to speak with your doctor and ask of all possibilities including infertility.

Only if you have been unlucky enough to catch an infection after.
If the termination was done correctly and by a Dr you should have no problems.
It's more likely that someone will have issues of guilt and loss after especially if it's not been thought through properly.

abortion infertility
There are many complications from abortion, infertility being the most devastating, other contributing factors are STDs such as genital wart viruses treated with cryotherapy. Long-term physical complications from abortions may surface later. For example, overzealous currettage can damage the lining of the uterus and lead to permanent sterility. Overall, women who have abortions face an increased risk of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy and a more than doubled risk of future sterility. Perhaps most important of all, the risk of these sorts of complications, along with risks of future miscarriage, increase with subsequent abortions. in some cases it can. i know a girl who has ahd 3 abortions and has been trying for a while to get pregnant with nothing and before she was able tog et preggers very easily. in all honesty i think shee deserved it for ditching all of the other ones but now wants one just one year later and she is also 24 years old. i think it wasn't fair for her to do that to 3 other babies and then now decide to have one. i am prochoice but not when it's used as birth control
