What happens after a miscarriage?

If you miscarry at 5 1/2 months what do the doctors do with the baby?

This happened to a friend of mine's daughter. She had a rather late miscarriage (5+ months). She gave birth and then the baby was cremeated and she still has the ashes.

You would have to ask the doctor of the clinic that you go to. A lot of places have a different ordinance on how to properly dispose a fetus.
Some places will use the fetus for further research within their own hospital, Some donate to Universities.
