For a number of reasons.
Propaganda was an essential tool for Hitler, and Joseph Goebbels was the mastermind behind it. Nazis would instigate fights with German communists in beer halls, then claim grievances. Also, anti-Jewish parades, posters, pamphlets, etc, were released to the public.
Hitler didn't magically kidnap the German people overnight... anyone who read Mein Kampf knew what he was about, and even during the war, many people knew of the Holocaust. Hitler had an effective cabinet of advisors to help him.
Hilter never won 100% support-- he didn't even get that at the height of his power.... No ruler ever has or ever will. He came at the right place, at the right time, when Germany was weak.
BUT the Weimar Republic WAS improving Germany in the 1920s and 1930s prior to Hitler's rise to power in 1933, so the blame isn't so much on the economic factor, although it was a big part that made Germany vulnerable.

"The party's rise to power was rapid. Before the economic depression struck, the Nazis were practically unknown, winning only 3 percent of the vote to the Reichstag (German parliament) in elections in 1924. In the 1932 elections, the Nazis won 33 percent of the votes, more than any other party. In January 1933 Hitler was appointed chancellor, the head of the German government, and many Germans believed that they had found a savior for their nation."
Quote taken from United States Holocaust Museum website.
The real factors then are the brutality of the Nazis because they were after all, a street gang, thugs at the most basic level who engaged in brawls, beatings, and murder. Also propaganda, and of course, Hitler's great charisma brought him to power.
History is complex, and has no real simple answers, and interpretation is everything. I hope this helps.

He was offered the position of deputy canceler, but he always rejected this offer, insisting that he, as the leader of the largest political party in Germany, becomes canceler, or else his party would vote for rejecting the approval of the government and thus force the Parliament to dissolve and have new elections. This was actually done over and over again. Anyone in the Nazi Party who tried to seek compromise on this was dismissed as a "traitor". Finally the state president got tired of it and appointed Hitler as canceler, but then Hitler did everything to seek more and more power and authority, threatening his opponents with war.

Check out the link. A lot of how the Nazis rose to power had to do with the armistice that ended World War I, where particularly the French did their best to humiliate Germany and place the entire blame for WW I on the Germans.

he had good policies.
Hitler was a good thing for germany in the early days, he gave the german nation jobs, which they needed after an economic decline as a result of the devastating, out of proportion reparations demanded by the league of nations (early UN) following WW1, he also gave security and of course the autobahn.
unfortunatley he got a bit head strong and decided he wanted Poland and it all went down hill after that
