Doesn't anybody think they would treat me like a god? Especially if I had a plastic battery light sabre with sound effects?

Depends which version you took back
Ep 1/2/3 - They would say "That is SO CRAP - Jar-Jar Binks what a waste of space" and you would be burnt & tortured (Not for being a wizard, but having such a crap film)
EP 4/5/6 - They would love it and it would spark off Fairy Tales / Mythology / Fantasy that would be told over & evolve into Sci-fi. The laptop would be found in the 1960's by Bill Gates, who would sell the film idea to George Lucas. That would give Gates the money to start microsoft and develop computer technology.
The interesting thing is that IN BOTH SITUATIONS, even days after arriving back in time you will still be receiving e-mails from people giving you stock market 'tips', details of how you have won an american lottery, and Nigerians wanting you to cash money for them.

They'd probably start fighting with their neighbour with breadsticks or paddy stalks (copying lightsabers) when the neighbour's cow kept coming over their land to poo
