Former Secretary of State Colin Powell comes to mind.
1. Served our country in the military proudly
2. Chaired the Joint Chiefs of Staff
3. Secretary of State (should have been Defense Secretary in the presidents second term)
4. Had the good sense to question and justify the need to invade Iraq.
5. Came from very humble beginnings
6. Has been living the American dream
His only flaw has going before the UN and providing unfounded justifications for invading Iraq (he was being a good team player and military man).
