If you put the kind of effort into the lacking detail of this question that you put into your business, its time to pack up and quit now, your business is doomed, and you are not a good entrepreneur.

Im not trying to be cute or anything, but come on, think about it.

Advertise. Put professionally written and illustrated fliers in laundromats, courthouse waiting rooms (jurors are a largely untapped market audience), doctor's offices. Offer discounts or specials in newspaper circulations, Place ads in regional magazines, on grocery store bulletin boards.

Do NOT make the mistake of putting fliers on cars in a parking lot. A whole lot of people are real particular when it comes to someone touching their car - and it is considered solicitation - something most security officers frown on.

Billboards. They are only expensive if they don't work. Don't go for the highway giants - but something locally in a business district. It takes money to make money and if you are just starting out, you need some serious money to get the word out that you exist.

Good luck.

you haven't mentioned the type of business as well as the area any how i will tell you general things what i have found for my business.

Greet customers nicely and talk with them softly and try to prove you are providing quality products at attractive( cheaper) cost. Improve your friends circle and try to convience them and make them to buy in your shop and ask them to tell about your shop to their friend's and relatives which is the best advertisement without spending. Provide some small gifts like sweets(chocolate)to children, pen to male and samll (cosmetic items, purse ...).
