I use to work for Disney and I believe it is a marketing tactic. Basically the movie will reprise in about 5 years. So if you don't want to buy it, then you can rent it especially from Disney's subsidiary company Hollywood Videos. Although if you are a collector and want your library to be complete, then yes I can understand why you would want to buy it "now" before the vault closes...unless you can wait for another 5 or so years when it becomes available once again.

I'm 14 and when I see those commercials, I just ignore it. The remastered ones are just a little brighter and have boring games on them.
You can always rent or borrow movies instead of spending like $20 bucks on the remastered ones.

They can lock up the movies in the vault for all I care.

Buy the movie before it's put back in the vault. That's what it's basically saying.

Well, we all know they do that to increase sales essentially saying, "buy this now while your kid is a kid and will still enjoy it." Parents know other parents, they can share movies, you can rent movies and some folks even find them on the internet.

Frankly, it makes me sick and its one of the reasons I think Disney movies are the last things I want my kids to see.
