I have tried Internet options, and selected autoblank, to try to get rid of this vile hugesearch as my homepage but had no luck. I want to totally eliminate this from my computer. I have also tried add/remove programs but it's not present there.

Looks like you have spyware, adware, or a virus. Changing the page is not going to help, it will just come back. Unless you have the proper protection you need to stay away from porn sites, they are littered with spyware, adware, and viruses. Here's my recommendation for proper protection and removal.
1st, don't waste your time with AVG, spybot, ad aware, spyhunter, cs, panda, or anything of the sort. Stay away from anything that is FREE. There is a reason why they free. They are NOT good.
2nd, You need some of the best software out there. Norton Systemworks is very good. That's the only good software from Norton. Don't get Internet security, its not that great. Now the best software you should get is Spysweeper with Anti-virus, this software is too good and gets better everyday. It blocks over 170,000 threats. No other software can compete with that or come close for that matter. I've used them all and it is 2nd to none.
3rd, after you install and update the software, since its in your system you will have to turn off system restore and then go into safe mode and run the scan and eliminate the virus. then after removal, reboot and turn system restore back on.
4th, any probs during or after you do all this, send me an e-mail.

Tony,im afraid you have had a "browser hijack",but dont worry,i will tell you how to get rid of the spyware thats caused it and reset your homepage
first you need to go to control panel and then add/remove programs and then look for any entries that llok odd,or anything that you never installed yourself,or anything with "hugesearch"in the name, basically if you dont recognize it,remove it
then go to http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl... download the program spybot, you then need to install this and run it straight away, note:you must make sure you update and imunize spybot before you scan, imunizing will protect your p.c from future attacks
then run spybot and click "scan for problems",then let it look for spyware, you will find some spyware, and when the scan is finished you need to "fix selected problems",this may take a few minutes depending on how much spyware is found, and some spyware cleaning may require a restart
once you have fixed all problems, then go to internet options and reset your homepage to"www.yahoo.co.uk"then apply and o.k
the reason you cant change it at the moment is that the spware thats infected your p.c has "locked" your homepage,so no what you try it wont change
also you may want to try running adaware personal(http://www.download.com/ad-aware-se-pers... run this after you have finished the spybot scan, just to mop up any loose cookies and adware that may have been missed by spybot
any problems tony, let me know, and please let me know if you manage to fix this
good luck mate
