For Russia:
Divorces in Russia: official statistics for 2004 was 64.7%, for the first half of 2006 it went up to 72.7% (422,200 marriages vs. 307,200 divorces). Quite scary!

As you can imagine, with statistics like that, divorced women are normal members of the society, and it was like that for quite a while. I know for a fact (personal experience) that at least 30 years ago there was no social ostracism for divorcees, but probably social acceptance of divorce started much much earlier. In the Soviet time divorce was relatively easy an inexpensive. Children would almost always remain with mother (maybe except for some Muslim dominated regions of Russia) and fathers would pay a standardized alimony payments to children, not spouse - 25% of his income to a single child, 33% to 2 children, 50% to 3 or more.

With arrival of capitalism for wealthy people divorces became more expensive.

Every human all around the world are different. It really depends on how a person raised. Women from the Philippines...varieties of education, culture and dignities. For you to prove ones values, I highly recommend that you should at least see it yourself and observe them personally. One day meeting personally is not enough. You must have to be with that person at least a week or 2 and see what comes. You have to give time to know that person. If you met them on line or anywhere else, it's always best for you to observe that person personally. Women from the Philippines , some of them are up to taking advantage of the situation getting out from that country. Not all of them but mostly are like that. It happens everywhere. If there is true love there, whatever comes, you will proceed. Taking them home to mom is another thing. Moms has always objection (except my mom in-law to be lol). We can't please everyone but we have the choice ourselves. When we're in love, we will do everything till we cry and suffer. That's the way it is. So, go ahead and experience life. Same applies to any countries. Values are uprooted from home where you raised and how you were raised.
