im 13 and a freshman in highschool but started as a freshman when i was 12. the reason for this that my birthday is in late october and plus i started school early. it wont be fair because in september when i start college i will be 16 and would be 17 in late october but i cant legally drink then, then i'll feel left out because everyone would be able to take part in government. narcotics and etc because theyre 18 and dont you need 128 credits to graduate in college or just for your bachelors? also you have to take part in courses that doesnt concern your major lol oh wow but i want to work in the medical fields so how many years would that take to graduate there

I would be more concerned with academics than drinking and "gov. narcotics". Take it as a blessing that you are underaged AND will not get sidetracked with such none sense, and also find a similar aged friend who has the same priorities and you will do fine.

I went to college at 16 (turned 17 early in October of my Freshman year).

It was no big deal. I wanted no part of the drinking anyway, and respectfully suggest you do the same (look at it this way -- you will want a clear head to get the good grades you have to have for health care professions). I never felt left out of anything. In general, college at 16 is a good thing, if you feel you are ready to handle it when the time comes.

For most BA or BS programs you need 128 credits to graduate and get the degree.

You do need to take courses outside your major, but that is part of the fun! You can learn a variety of things that you may never use again, but like finding out about. I took Arthurian Literature (the legend of King Arthur -- neat stuff). Never did anything with the knowledge, but I really liked the course!

Pre-med BA or BS would take 4 years. Then 4 years of medical school to become an MD. Then you might take a specialization (about two years), or do an internship. It takes a while.

But the programs for other health care professionals, such as nurses, physician's assistants, physical therapists are shorter. I know some people in them though, these programs are not easy.

The key thing right now is enjoy high school, work hard, get good grades, and do some extracurricular.

It's a little bit hard to understand what exactly you're asking but I'll share what I've learned.

1. If your 16 and going into college, it probably means that you've been around people older than you for at least a few years. As long as you can act mature and make good decisions, you'll be just fine.

2. If it's the drinking you're worried about, don't. Depending on where you go to college, the drinking age usually doesn't matter. Kids of all ages will drink in their dorms, etc, regardless of the fact that it's usually not allowed (no matter how old you are). You won't feel left out, as you don't need to drink to be social!

Hate to point this out... but no one in the USA is legal to drink at 18 unless their in the military and are on their base... but you said you started school early sho you're probably used to be the youngest around and so it wont be that much of a shock. the only thing i can think of that you have to worry about isn't fitting in, but rather being able to be away from home that long and everything... but that all depends on how close you are to your family and how far away you go to school and everything. Hope This Helped. =)
