really simple first get the n to just one side
8n-10<6-2n
+2n +2n
to get 10n -10 <6
then get the numbers to just one side
10n-10<6
+10 +10
to get 10n<16
now you just need n by its self so divide the 16 by ten and you have your answer (1.6)

The only time the sign might change is when you divide by a neggitve number then you filp the sign.

10n < 16

now solve for n
n< 16/10
