Warner Bros. has officially announced that the fifth movie will be released on July 13, 2007. There is not yet an official release date for the seventh book, but JK Rowling does not expect it to be ready before summer 2007. There was a rumor that the last book was going to come out on 7/7/07, but I think that someone just thought that it would be cool to release the seventh book on the day with a bunch of 7s in it. (Which I agree would be pretty cool.) There is doubt, though, that the movie and the book would be released so close to each other. The release date for the fifth movie is official, though.
