Because Florida is warm right now and it is cold in England. Even in the summer, England doesn't have a lot of sunny days so the people of England enjoy vacationing in sunny climates.

I went to Florida about 3/4 yrs in the past and that i didnt desire a Visa. I particularly have a british passport besides the undeniable fact that it must be a gadget readable one (various numbers alongside the bottom of the photopage), i had to fill out a form on the plane and that became it until eventually you're plan to stay for more suitable than 3 months... then i could verify with the embassy and that i also had to have %. of my eye and scans of my finger accomplished on the airport yet so did easily everyone else

Good question. Probably a good exchange rate of the pound over the US dollar.

Maybe a generalization but brits like the seaside for the vacations. And Florida is preferred probably through word of mouth.

It's cheap and the constant TV adverts tell people to go there, the place you can see a polar bear, get splashed by a whale and go on a rollercoaster.

Looks like tacky rubbish to me but I think the all inclusiveness of the place and the price appeals to some British families.

It's been a long wet miserable winter in the UK and people there just want to see some warm sunshine... and the FLA state police have got major crimes against European tourists down to only three or four a day now...God Bless America.

Well im from UK and I can honestly say I wouldn't fancy going to Florida, I think it attracts families with children for the disney world thing, but thats not my idea of a holiday.Id rather be relaxing somewhere quiet. Plus its too far.

It's sunny, warm, relatively inexpensive with the strong Pound vs. Dollar, and there is a service culture in US travel and tourism that I believe most British tourists appreciate.

Because a cold pint of beer on a warm & sunny beach is better than a hot cup of tea in cold & rainy England.
