I am a married father of two children, a small business owner, homeowner and taxpayer. Our combined household income puts us in a very comfortable tax bracket, and we have a very sweet investment portfolio and retirement plan(s)
Unfortunatley for us, we have seen our financial picture dwindle considerably since 2001. We have been sent to the brink of ruin at tax time every year since 2003and this year will be the worst yet. I keep seing posts from Republicans stating that Bush has cut taxes and his domestic policy has been a positive economic generator for ALL Americans.

I have to ask - are Republicans just spewing out discredited hate radio talking points about the Bush economy or is there proof somewhere I simply can't find?
I am PAINFULLY aware that large mutli Corps have been raking in the money since 2001, and I could care less about the top 1%. I want someone to PROVE to me that the Bush era was as economically positive as Clinton's 8 wonderful years of prosperity.

It sounds like you answered your own question there. Unless you are in the top 1% of the wealthiest people in America, Bush did nothing for you.

Between 1991 and 1996 unemployment averaged 6.4 %, compared to 4.6 % now. Total net worth of average households have climbed over three trillion dollars in the last twelve months. Taxes on income are down, although more for low income families than high income families. If you sonehow have blown it, do not blame that on anybody but yourself.
Also in passing, the first two years of Clinton were disasterous with higher taxes and the failed attempt for HillaryCare. Then the Republicans took over both houses of Congress and Clinton started acting semi-Republican. Things improved immensely.

During 2008 to 2010 there will be reduced and somewhat eliminated taxes on investment income. Watch the increase in investment boost the economy helping us all.

the biggest element that Bush did replaced into alienate america from the the remainder of the international politically. america has come off as being a greater bully than it ever has. regrettably, if a nearer look is taken, the yankee President is rather lots basically a figurehead for its united states of america. this is the senate and congress, as nicely as specific activity communities with incredibly some money that actual administration issues. there have been many sturdy issues wander away interior the possibility of political time table.

I'll give you one real quick. After 9-11 the economy was going into a recession, and Bush's tax cuts (widely opposed by democrats) stopped that from happening. So it can be said that you are still a small business owner because of Bush, or at least that he helped a little.

Bush has cut your (and everyone's) taxes. His tax cuts helped the economy recover and helped the private sector create millions and millions of jobs. All this despite being attacked on 9/11, and despite the revelations of corporate fraud that occured during the Clinton Administration.

I smell a bunch of BS in that story. Your first paragraph completely refutes the second paragraph. If you were really a business owner you would know how to reduce your tax burden to the least amount. You would also know that every tax bracket was reduced. I don't believe your song and dance for a second..

You haven't been taking notes.

Within the first year the economy went through the roof and had the biggest jump it ever had. There was a big to do over it on the other message board.
