Can anyone tell me why when I flush my commode, the water level is very low after filling up? But, if I push the handle a little like I am going to reflush, it lets some water come back in the toilet and then I let go. Why is this? Could it be inside parts on the tank, Or something else? Plumber would be appreciated. TY..

There is usually a small pipe that is connected to the ballcock (The ball on the arm floating in the water and the piece that is attached to, basically a valve) that lets some of the water that is re-filling the toilet to go through an overflow pipe, and into the toilet itself as to keep the level High.

That might be blocked

Reset the float in the back of the tank to allow more water during the refill cycle - "raise the level by adjusting the float so that its allowed to go up higher - a little does alot".

All your doing is seeping some of the water down from the tank (flush water) when you push the handle down alittle --

take the lid off your toilet tank, there should be a small maybe 1/4 dia tube coming from the top of your fill valve and going into a tube about 1" in dia. When the toilet is re-filling after a flush the water from the small tube re-fills the bowl. Make sure it is inside the larger tube and also make sure there is water coming out of the smaller tube.
