I was in Uganda visiting places where chimpanzees lived. Our guide showed us a fruit that naturally fermented into alcohol. When it reaches the best fermentation stage, the chimpanzees eat it and become as intoxicated as any humans at a tavern. The guide told us when they get drunk, they act much like humans and even get into "barroom" fights.
