Countries ranked in order of how patriotic people there tend to be:

8. Iran
I'm just guessing. Don't know about Italians. Patriotism, if excessive as it often is, is not a good thing.

Italians are probably one of the less patriotic people in the world !
We are a very young nation and for much of our history we have been divided and ruled by foreign powers, so italians tend to idetify with the region, the province or even the city in which they live...we are first of all Neapolitan, romans, venicians, sicilian, sardinian and THEN we are italian.
