WASHINGTON – Greg Craig, a Washington super-lawyer with close ties to the Clintons, is supporting Sen. Barack Obama for President.

Craig was a White House special counsel defending President Bill Clinton in the Senate impeachment trial. A partner in the Williams & Connolly law firm founded by the legendary Edward Bennett Williams, Craig served as an adviser to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

In confirming to this column his Presidential preference, Craig called Obama unique and added: “I’ve never seen anyone who has made the impact on people and on me.” He said he was impressed with Obama when he first met him at the home of investment banker Vernon Jordan, an intimate friend and supporter of the Clintons

You just have to love "The Prince of Darkness"--he is at it again--spin spin spin. Hillary is the front-runner by a long shot with a meticulously timed winning plan. Remember she is in it to win.

Do you have a link to prove that???

I live in a Liberal Mecca Yesterday the Whole town celebrated Buddha's Birthday. And not one single person is in favor of Hillary.

That is a complete lie perpetrated by Rush and his Hate Radio cronies.

Democrats across America want Jeb Bush for president.

I am impressed with Obama myself, he did a great interview on 60 minutes a couple of weeks ago, however my money is still on Hillary as the most experienced politician between the two, and she has Bill routing for her. He is still a super star and holds many supporters in both party's.

Maybe they are taking the time to think things over...

2006 is really a bit early to decide who you are going to vote for in 2008. So now we are in 2007, and people are starting to question what these candidates are really about. It would surprise me if any of the current front runners become the party nominies at this point. I don't think we are looking at our next president with any of them.

who says she is the front-runner? I think Obama is with all the support he has gotten from sponsors the minute he declared this candidacy. I think people are afraid of Hillary for two reasons 1. she is a woman, 2. it would basically put Bill back in the white house (they are still married...I guess he would be the "first man...lol) and theres a LOT of people out there that would hate to see that.

Ask John McCain.A couple months ago,he was the heir apparent.
Now Giuliani has an almost 2-1 lead, and he's losing ground to Mormon Mitt.

So,in short, what's the point of your question?

Compared to whom? I think you have her confused with Senator McCain. In the past week, 15,000 grassroots supporters raised over $1,000,000 for Hillary online. That doesn't sound like abandoning ship to me.

"Hillary is still the front-runner for the Dems so why are a lot of her supporters jumping ship?"

Because she's not the person for the job. Perhaps Obama isn't either. We'll see who comes to the fore over the next 6 months or so.

I have never, EVER been her supporter. I haven't jumped ship. Obama has always been my preferred candidate of people running this coming election.
