How do YOU put up vinyl siding?

I've seen it done several ways, but what materials, in what order, do you prefer to it? I've seen:

Felt, Blueboard, Felt, siding
Felt, Blueboard, siding
Felt, siding
Blueboard, siding
ect

Generally 1/2" foam, celotex with a foil faceing is all you need.

This purely depends on what your siding over - rough/smooth surface, and how insulated the home is.

What is the exterior made of that your trying to cover?
