If you were having triplets your doctor HAS to tell you because you would have a high-risk pregnancy. Your doctor cannot keep that type of information from you no matter what. You are not having triplets. Maybe you think you are overweight or maybe you have a slight case of edema. OR maybe you have indulged a bit too much in food.

I know people don't want to know the sex of their baby but I 've never heard of not wanting to know how many. I doubt you are having twins or triplets because i would imagine your Dr. would be required to tell you for health reasons. Most multiple pregnancies don't make it to full term for example. Your Dr. would tell you if you weren't in your normal range of healthy gain. I've had 3 kids and it always feels like the last trimester is like a whole nother pregnancy! You are just getting close and felling heavy and slowing down. You'll be fine and once the baby is here it will all have been worth it!
Read details a bunch of us fell for it! Maybe you should get another hobby? Acting class?

The doctor should let you know if you are having multiple babies, that would not only effect how you prepare for the baby but also how the doctor prepares for the birth. Extra weight doesn't always mean more births, it just means you possibly have extra water retention or have been binging too much. Ask your doctor for clearer answers the next time you see him. Tell him you are concerned. I can see why you would want to be surprised about the sex of the baby, but if its a multiple birth you really should know. Good luck and congrats.

Well I've never had a child but some women will have bigger babies and so they weight more then normal and you should tell your doctor you don't want to know the sex of the baby(ies) and so he can tell you if you are having more than 1 b/c you'll need to buy more stuff to make it easier if you're having triplets> you don't want to go home with 3 babies and 1 stroller or baby seat ;)
by the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ;o)

You should know by know if you are 8 months pregnant how many babys are in your belly. You should have had at least one ultrasound, and your doctor or midwife should be listening to your baby's heartbeat at almost every appointment. I am a week away from my due date and nobody believes me because I am very small for my size I guess. Anyways good luck with your one to possibly 3 babies. Haha

Did you not get an ultrasound? If you are 8 months, you are supposed to be really big. You are also supposed to be exercizing too. If you had an ultrasound, the 1st one would tell you how many you are having. Maybe you just need to eat healithier. Best wishes.

what?! any doctor in their right mind would tell you if you were having multiple babies because it's a major health risk that will have to be watched carefully. how do you know that you are 3 times bigger than a normal pregnant woman? i can understand not wanting to know what the sex of the baby is, but not knowing ANYTHING is just stupidity. ask your doctor how many children you are having. if you are only having one, stop eating so much!

AN hour before this post you posted one saying that you missed a period and felt sick. And then edited it saying "OMFG I"M PREGNANT!!" or something along those lines. Then you said that you were 4 months pregnant...
Unless you're some sort of mutant... You can't go from missing one period to 4 months pregnant in one yahoo question. Then to being 8 months pregnant in the next hour on another question.
Stay in school, sweetie. Pass the 2nd grade. Please.

Its a posiblity but you could also be over reacting by gaining weight that you feel like you 3x the size you should be.....if you are have in more then one you should let the doctor know that you feel you need to know....did the doctor say you are 3x bigger or do you just think you are
