it's not easy... you need to find different ways to channel your desperation... I started writing.. I haven't cut in almost 2 years... if you need to, email me... I can't promise you an end but I can give you experience and hope...

I used to be a cutter and I stopped because I realized it did nothing for me. In the end after cutting myself my life did not get better and I was not anymore happier. The deep gashes in my arm left scars that are not attractive. I have no idea what I will tell my son when he is older, but I am glad I stopped. If a cutter dont care about themselves they need to think about the people in their lives that loves them.

Just think about it..that's all.
Have a discussion with yourself and figure out why you started it in the first place and why if you stop cutting you will help heal yourself from all the pain..both physical and mental.
But you need to be willing to stop cutting.

by finding a better way to release their stress.

(or, often times, by finding the attention they are looking for.)

therapy certainly couldn't hurt, even though i know most cutters dislike this solution to a certain degree.

With help from a positive influence. You need to stay with them day and night for like 6 months until you know they are better.
