oh, i totally had the same exact problem! it's not ok to hurt someones feelings, so don't be mean to her or anything..... what i did was sort of ignored her, but wasn't nasty about it and when she said hi to me in the halls i just kinda gave a small smile, don't say hi back or anything. chances are that this girl didn't know she was seperating you from your best friend, but if she did then that was just plain mean! i used to talk about my other friends around her, but don't overdo it...... the girl i had the problem with eventally got the message..... i introduced her to another girl i didn't like, and now they're best friends! strange how these things work out isn't it?!

First of all, you need to make a list of things that **** you off about her. Second, I would make a plan on talking to her about these things a bit at a time. Address them one at a time over a period of time.
There is no need to make an enemy, she just needs to understand that you will have other friends and that she will need to address her insecurities such that she doesn't create too many waves in the existing pond.
There is no need to be mean....just guide her to a path that makes her more likeable.....who knows? under that skin of insecurity, might be a person who everyone will like.
I applaud you for taking the high ground, it says alot about you as a person!
Cheers

Its a hard decision but maybe you can let her down easy and just have plans with some other Friends and go separate ways at lunch time and after school, even if its joining a club (extra activity) at lunch. if that doesn't work be nice and tell her that maybe you and her don't have to hang around to much.

Reverse psychology! Pretend you're 10 times more needy and clingy than her, call her up day and night, email her 30 times a day, then get angry when she doesn't respond promptly or can't commit. Soon she'll grow to fear and avoid you.
Oh, and let your closest friends in on the joke so they know it's an act.

She speareted you from your best friend? What does that mean?
Don't tell her you hate her, tell her she needs to develop more friendships so people won't get suspicious.

You don't have to be her best friend, but is there need to hate her? You are only hurting yourself when you hate another. Just
ignore her and go your own way, she will eventually get the message.

What i would do, is just one day after class just pull her aside and tell her whats going on. You dont have to be mean about it, but be serious so she knows your not jokin. Good Luck!!!
