It may be true that the "enemy" in Afghanistan is not always easily identifiable, however...

Isn't it interesting how the press tempers reality by saying U.S. troops "shot at" civilians instead of the real truth, which is that U.S. troops MURDERED civilians in Afghanistan (yes, intentional killing)? Read the article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070304/ap_on_re_as/afghan_violence

As soon as you label a circumstance "war" it gives U.S. soldiers the ultimate right to kill anyone they want, including innocents???? Isn't it a form of terrorism to kill CIVILIANS in this manner ?

An eyewitness in Afghanistan said:

"They were firing everywhere, and they even opened fire on 14 to 15 vehicles passing on the highway," said Tur Gul, 38, who was standing on the roadside by a gas station and was shot twice in his right hand. "They opened fire on everybody, the ones inside the vehicles and the ones on foot."

The whole situation is a bad deal for everyone involved. Our troops shouldn't be over there to begin with. After serving 2 or 3 deployments you can imagine the frustration and psychological strain it must have on our troops. Still...it doesn't justify murder.

Dude, consider what war is. Since time in memorial, civilians have died along with the combatants. In Vietnam civilians were killed--are you carrying on a stink on that? WW2 during the Dresden bombings by Americans and British, thousands of the city citizens were killed in the fire storms--are you complaining about that?

The killing of civilians in Afghanistan is an unfortunate event, but I want to hear your bleeding heart cry out and complain about all the civilian deaths throughout the wars in history. Why stop at just one incident?

It's funny how you believe these reports by the press then turn right around say that the press doesn't report them properly. which is it? Are they right or wrong? Can we believe them or not? Or maybe that you expect the rest of us to just believe the parts you do and skip the rest. Next, please don't judge the actions of or speak disrespectful of our men in women in uniform unless you have put on that uniform and walked in their shoes. These people are doing A very hard job that most of the people who judge them are incapable of doing.
