Practice and when you practice try relaxing your grip on the stick a little.. let your stick do the work. Also, your body movement is as important as your stick coordination, make players think you are going left and continue to the right..etc.. etc.. drop a shoulder, maybe a quick weight shift..
practice.. you will improve for sure
ps: most importantly,BELIEVE you can go around the defender, dont hesitate.

Well in the summer time or even winter time if you get bored and feel the need to practice buy a wood stickhandling ball. they are light and improve your stickhandling. You can hear when they hit your stick and they are easy to move around with. I would aslo check out your nearest hockey or sports shop they could give you more detail!
I hope i helped!

it depends on what hockey you play. iF you play icehockey go to a rink one day like a week and just practice all day. Call you coach and see if he or she will help you. Get some friends together and have them help you. Have your freinds run torwards you and then dodge them.
If you play field hockey just have alone time with the ball. Go out into your yard and and just kick, do pulls and just become best friends with your stick. It works
