I am looking to purchase something for a one time use. I also need to be able to create two separate playlists on it.

Basically, DRM. Digital Rights Management. They all play mp3, but ipod and zune require you to have licenses for them, while a generic mp3 doesn't,(at least I believe this correct).

Zune and Ipod are brands of MP3 players. It's like saying "Is this a Kleenex or a tissue?" If it's just for a one-time use don't get either of those brands, they cost too much.

If you are only looking to use it once buy a MP3 player they are usually cheaper and it is alot less difficult to load with music. Or atleast I find. You should be able to make multiple playlists aswell. Just check the back of the box when you buy one.

I would just get a very cheap mp3 player not ipod something like 20-30 dollars ive seen them

iPod = mp3 player made by Apple.
Zune = mp3 player made by Windows.

buy a cheap one like walmart or something like a creative or something.. also you could go on eBay and get a cheap one
