CONGRATS ON YOUR LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY! HERE IS SENDING YOU POSITIVE STICKY VIBES THROUGHOUT YOUR PREGNANCY!!!!

in reality; not really unless you are high risk... i am 22 weeks and still end up rolling over on my tum when my husband is not here to put the lock down arm on me. you just dont get the circulation that you and the baby both need and the rest wil not be of quality.... moslty because as your little bean grows, s/he will be pressing on your bladder and bathroom trips will be frequent!!!

Some doctors specifically recommend that pregnant women sleep on the left side. Because your liver is on the right side of your abdomen, lying on your left side helps keep the uterus off that large organ. Ask what your doctor recommends - in most cases, lying on either side should do the trick and help take some pressure off your back.

But don't drive yourself crazy worrying that you might roll over onto your back during the night. Shifting positions is a natural part of sleeping that you can't control. Most likely, during the third trimester of your pregnancy, your body won't shift into the back-sleeping position anyway because it will be too uncomfortable.

Things that help me? pillows PILLOWS PILLOWS! you will be fine ;)

at 7 weeks, girl get that sleep while you can!!

During the first half of your pregnancy, it's a good idea to start training yourself to sleep on your left side whenever you can. This position benefits your baby by maximizing the flow of blood and nutrients to the placenta. It also helps your kidneys efficiently eliminate waste products and fluids from your body, which in turn reduces swelling in your ankles, feet, and hands. Sleeping on your right side is fine, too. You'll probably need to alternate between your left and right side to remain comfortable. (If you wake up at night and find yourself on your stomach or back, don't worry — you haven't done any harm to your baby. Just roll back onto your side.)

Here's how many pregnant women feel most comfortable in bed: Lie on your left side with your knees bent and put a pillow between your knees. Arrange other pillows under your belly and behind your back for extra comfort and support. You can buy special maternity pillows for this purpose, though you may find that regular pillows work just as well. If you suffer from heartburn or breathlessness, you may also find it helpful to prop your upper body up a bit. In your third trimester, wearing a sleeping bra and a maternity belt can give extra support to your breasts, belly, and back.

A final tip: If lying on your side puts too much pressure on your hips, buy a soft egg-crate foam mattress pad. The egg-carton-shaped layer goes on top of your mattress and under the sheet and regular mattress pad for added comfort and air-circulation and is available in a range of sizes.

Hope that helps!

You really should start getting used to not sleeping on your stomach. I am a huge stomach sleeper, but I am now 38 weeks pregnant, and there is no way I could sleep on my stomach even if I wanted to now. Although right now they say you arent hurting your baby, once he/she starts getting bigger your may harm her, or yourself by doing it. You left side is what they suggest for circulation reasons. But really any way you can get comfotable will be good for you. Good luck!!!

No it will not harm your baby. I am 15 weeks and still lay on my stomach quite often. My doctor said that it is just fine and that as I progress in the pregnancy it will just become uncomfortable.
After the 3 month mark you should avoid laying on your back as much as possible. That is the big no no as far as sleep position goes

you won't if you are only 7 weeks, but when you get like 4 or 5 months and your stomach starts to show, I recommend that you don't cuz it is uncomfortable like crazy and I think it will, so I don't. I'm 5 months now and when I try, I can do it for less than a minute cuz he starts to move and thats what makes me think that I am hurting him.

I slept on my stomach through both of my pregnancies. The children came out fine. I had the same concerns and my OB told me that it would hurt me before it would hurt the baby..

the older it gets yes, and it can also cut off blood circulation for the baby, ask your dr. I thinkt he best side to sleep on is your left side, for the blood flow to be okay.

no, you and the baby will be fine. might as well get comfortable sleep while you still can because pretty soon you won't be able to lay on your belly anymore.
