Gold Canyon offers a product called suddenly scented- it is a spray, they also have scented fire starters - great if you have a fireplace. You might also consider a candle warmer- find a candle that you like and rather than light it, place it on a warmer plate- they make these especially for candles or coffee mugs.
Another option is get some essential oils in oyur favorite scents, soak a cotton ball and put it in the filter of your vacuum cleaner or vents in your house. Sachets and potpourri are other options you might try.

There are all types of things you can use. They have scented oils out that go in a vase of some sort and you put difusing sticks in the oil to absorb and distribute the scent. Potpourri has come a long way over the years and comes in various scents. There are also scented products you can use such as scent drops on light bulbs.

Oh, i understand that musty scent! you want to first placed something on it which will soak up the smell and enable it to sit down down there for an afternoon or 2 undisturbed. the perfect smell absorber that i understand of is reliable previous baking soda. Get your self some bins, rub it into the upholstery and enable it sit down for an afternoon, then vacuum. save doing this, fresh the baking soda with new baking soda, rub it in, enable sit down, and vacuum. Messy, besides the undeniable fact that it cleans up actual. Then get your self some potpourri to position around the room and heavily, i could scatter some lower than the settee cushions! Why no longer?

Try those inserts for your furnace filters. They have all kinds of scents and they work well for about a month. Other than that there is a product out there called a PionAir that is really expensive but will eliminate all odor and allergens from your house. We have one and it works awesome.

Febreeze would work nicely...spray on curtains and sofas and bed sheets. another thing that you might want to try is carpet fresh no vaccum you spray it on and it foams and dissapears and leaves the room smelling fresh also try some fabric softener sheets in drawers and closets try also some baking soda in trash cans or a dryer sheet. hope this helps.

try simmering a pot of water on the stove with some whole cloves and a cinnamon stick. you'll get the added benefit of some moisture in your house during the dry winter months.

There are lots of options.
Candlewarmers - these use candles, but don't burn them, so there's no soot damage or smell of smoke. (Very Hot - keep out of reach of children)
Potpourri and scented wax pots. (Very Hot - keep out of reach of children)
Flowers and potted plants.
Carpet deodorizers w/ scent.
There are strips you can put on intake vents that have scent.
