I'm going a field trip. I'm not allowed to bring iPods, video games, CD players, stuff like that. I can bring a book, but I get bus sick. I could talk with my friends, but about what? There's gonna be a movie to watch, but what if it's boring?

Get some inexpensive picutre post cards and some postcard stamps--maybe ones from the place where you live or maybe some funny ones. And get some addresses of your grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends you haven't seen in a while--and especially those that don't have e-mail. You can write just a short message--even a sentence or two to say you were thinking about them. You might even say something about the great time you had with them at Thanksgiving or the most recent time you had with them.( Extra points if you thank them again for the last gift they gave you!)

Then, if you can, send these postcards when you get to your destination. Believe me, even if you send one--you will have made someone's day! And your family will think even more highly of you and you will feel very happy inside! (You will feel surprised!)

Hope you are able to try this! Have fun on your field trip and good luck!
