After peeling all the way down to the white layer, insert toothpicks at an upward angle to keep it from falling all the way down in a jar of water. Keep water at a level where it is always touching the base of the seed. After a few weeks, you should start to see roots growing.

fill a glass 3/4 with water ,stick 3 toothpicks in the seed and hanging it just above the water the seed barely touching the water

Fill a glass about half full of water. Put toothpicks into the avocado pit and set it so the toothpicks hold it partially out of the water.

Same as others but don't let it dry-out keep 1/3 in water.
