I dropped my iPod in a damn river about a month ago or more and I was instructed to just leave it sit for awhile. I've let it sit and sit and sit. My iPod says "Please wait, very low battery." Does that mean if I get a new battery my iPod will work, even though it was submerged under water before?

You should call the Apple technical services for help. I don't think it'll help much by just letting it sit. If you have warranty for it, I think they'd probably help you fix it or replace it (I think..). Well, good luck!

If it says the battery is low, plug it in. Or you may need to buy a new battery or a whole new iPod.

I would first get a new battery for it then have it repaired if still doesnt work.

Just had this problem...plug it in awhile....pull it out. Press menu/play together and it started up. Make sure its thrashed before you buy a new one.

It's broken. Time for a new one. I killed my sister's cellphone by jumping in a swimming pool with it in my trunks pocket.
