It's my first time using Medela Pump in Style and it seems like even the highest suction level is very weak. Am I doing something wrong?

Try placing your nipple right in the centre and then placing over the breast. Sometimes if it feels weak there isn't a proper seal around the breast. If it still doesn't feel right take it back, there may be something wrong with the motor.

You have to use both sides or suction will not happen. Make sure the lines are plugged into the appropriate part of the pump. Put your fingers on the ends to check for suction on both lines.

Hmm. Check the lines, make sure they're all plugged in. Are you using both sides at once? If not, make sure that the side that's not in use is plugged - or else it'll be sucking away without resistance. Make sure the collection bottle is on properly, sealed.

Hope that helps! That's the one I've got, borrowed from a friend, and it's great.

Maybe check out the video from their website, they don't seem to have a lot of troubleshooting info tho.

most breast pumps have a suction level that you can change. that might be turned down. either that or you are just used to the babies suction and the machine is going to be less than the baby.
