how do u change the date on Animal Crossing for ds?

i kno u have to go to the phone but it doesnt say to reset the time. it just says to change the sound and to download. why doesnt it say to reset the time? and is there anywhere else i can go to change the time?

take out the game pack from the ds and then change the date in the ds settings, the time as well. the game relies on these settings from the main contro0l rather than from the game itself
